These Spotify statistics use the latest company-reported figures available through March 2026 and focus on platform size, premium subscribers, revenue, creator payouts, podcasts, and audiobooks.

Year-end monthly active users rose from 406 million in 2021 to 751 million in 2025.
Year-end premium subscribers grew from 180 million in 2021 to 290 million in 2025.

Independent artists and labels accounted for roughly half of Spotify royalties in 2025.

Wrapped 2025 generated more than 300 million engaged users and more than 630 million shares globally in 56 languages.
Spotify’s scale kept expanding through the end of 2025. Monthly active users, premium subscribers, and quarterly revenue all moved materially higher than their 2021 levels, which shows that the platform is still adding reach while also improving monetization.
The business is also becoming broader than a music-only subscription service. Podcasts remain a major audience driver, creator monetization is expanding beyond traditional ads, music payouts keep climbing, and audiobooks are scaling quickly enough to become one of Spotify’s clearest newer growth categories.
