Conditions for Pairing JBL Partybox Speakers Together
There are two options available when you connect 2 JBL partybox speakers together; Party mode and Stereo mode. Which one to choose depends upon the model of speakers you have.
Party Mode
You can connect 2 JBL partybox speakers in party mode either you have same models or different models. In party mode you get an immersive audio from both speakers. It is default mode when you pair 2 different partybox speakers. Only newer models (110,310,710) offer this connection wirelessly. Old models cannot connect wirelessly using party mode. However, if you have old partybox like 200 or 300, you can either go for wired connection or TWS.
TWS/Stereo Mode
True Wireless Stereo or TWS mode can be used only when you have two same models of JBL partybox. When connected both speakers will act as left and right channels that you can control from the JBL app. You can also enable or disable one channel from the app.
How to Connect 2 JBL Partybox Speakers?
You can connect 2 JBL partybox speakers either through wire or wirelessly. Below is the step by step guide to both methods.
Wired Connection
There are multiple options available when connecting using wire in all new and old models of partybox speakers. Especially if you have old models and they are different from each other, there is only wired option available to connect them in party mode.
You can use AUX or RCA cables to connect both partybox speakers together.
Wireless Connection
It is the most convenient and easy to go method. You can connect 2 partybox speakers together wirelessly in stereo or party mode according to the conditions mentioned above.
There are two ways to connect wirelessly:
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on both partybox speakers for almost 5 seconds and they will connect. You may hear a chime sound.
- If you have same models and you want to pair them in stereo mode, see TWS button on the rear panels of both speakers and press them to connect.
You can install JBL app for IOS or Android and control your speakers from there like you can switch between party mode and stereo mode or disconnect speaker etc.
